Pantone Color Institute is coming up rosy this year with Pantone 18-2120 Honeysuckle, their 2011 color of the year. Switching gears from last year's Turquoise, which was meant to elicit peace and relaxation, this bright new color serves to empower with spirit and vitality. The authority on color hopes the dynamic hue will elevate psyches and instill confidence and courage to meet the challenges of everyday life.

Step Down Living Room

About 20 years ago, I became interested in spaces inside the home that had a step down.  Just one or two steps down, to a more dramatic room design.  In the 70's, these rooms had a modern feel to the with contemporary pictures illustrated in this era, couples having small parties.
